Pacific Community Resources Society
Who We Are
Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS) has a 36-year history of providing a breadth of quality, accredited social services across British Columbia, including: education, employment, housing, substance use, mental health, and youth and family support services. PCRS values guide our work and help us, with our partners, to identify gaps in service, advocate, and find innovative solutions to address complex social problems.
Why We Are Involved
We are involved in the inclusive employment movement because this aligns with PCRS’s values of Diversity and Inclusion, Stewardship, Empowerment and Advocacy.
Accessibility Initiatives
At PCRS we have a diversity and inclusion committee which meet on a monthly basis and promote diversity and inclusion activities and training within our agency. Examples of activities we have engaged in through this committee are surveys to gather information about D&I within our staff team and to obtain feedback. We have provided training on anti-oppression, decolonizing practices and cultural competency.
