Leda HR

Who We Are

Leda HR is an innovative workplace culture consulting practice. We help organizations to disrupt and evolve processes and practices to create equitable and inclusive people centered workplaces.

We – partners Annika Lofstrand and Kristin Bower – each bring over twenty years of experience within human resources with a decade each of specialization in EDI.

Located on the traditional and unceded lands of the Coast Salish peoples – the Squamish, Musqueam, and the Tsleil-Waututh – Leda HR has served clients across sectors including Crown Corporations, financial services (credit unions, banks, and professional certification organizations), post-secondary (universities and colleges), property management and development (local and Canada-wide), retail and hospitality, not for profit organizations, and for several local and global technology companies.

The common theme across all sectors and geographical locations is this: people.

Why We Are Involved

Leda HR’s purpose for being is to create workplace cultures that celebrate diversity and foster inclusion, dignity, and belonging.

This purpose is born from our experiences of lived experience with invisible disability.

We have seen and experienced what a supportive leader and workplace culture can do to help employees flourish. And we have seen what happens when empathy and understanding aren’t there. That’s why we do this work.

Accessibility Initiatives

As a small boutique consulting practice we prioritize flexibility in how, where and when we work.

Some simple mental health accommodations that we have implemented include:

  • taking Fridays off,
  • regular communication about challenges we are facing in work and life,
  • creating buffers between meetings and allowing for ample travel time to client sites (to manage anxiety and fatigue).
