Easter Seals British Columbia and Yukon

Who We Are

Easter Seals BC/Yukon is a service of the BC Lions Society For Children With Disabilities.

As a trusted charity since it began from the vision of the East Vancouver Lions Club, Easter Seals is dedicated to providing programs and services to persons with diverse abilities that help build their self-esteem, self-confidence, and sense of independence.

In British Columbia, approximately 926,100 adults between the ages of 15 to 64 have a disability that limits their independence and quality of life.

For many, a disability can affect how they see themselves and how they view their own abilities.

Our Mission:

To inspire communities across B.C. and the Yukon to support and enable access for individuals with disabilities.

Our Vision:

To enable abilities in our communities.

Why We Are Involved

At Easter Seals BC & Yukon, we take pride in spearheading the Red Shirt Day of Action for Accessibility and Inclusion. This event unites people across Canada as they don red attire to visibly demonstrate solidarity. Our participation underscores our commitment to supporting disabled individuals and their families, honoring the accomplishments of disabled Canadians, and pledging to champion a fully accessible and inclusive society.

Additionally, we have diligently crafted accessible environments across all our locations.

By ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates, we strive to create a level playing field where everyone can thrive.
