Learn how employers can access wage subsidies, accessibility support, and ongoing employer support free of cost through STRIDES – The Opportunities Fund!

The Opportunities Fund is a federally funded program designed to support people in overcoming barriers to employment. The Open Door Group team serves the Lower Mainland, Okanagan, Thompson, and Kootenay regions including remote areas where employment resources might be limited.

Through the STRIDES- Opportunities Fund Program, eligible employers can receive wage subsidy or skills training for their new employee, along with disability support services like funding for technology or equipment, workshops, and on-site job coaching.

Join STRIDES as an Employer If You:

  • Have a registered business with Canada Revenue Agency (GST Number) and a legal business name.
  • Have been in business for at least one year.
  • Offer the likelihood of on-going long-term employment upon completion of the wage subsidy.
