Inclusive Training Course: Advance Intersectional Equity for Disabled Employees

If you want to build an inclusive workplace, you need to support all your diverse employees, including people with disabilities. We’ve launched a new course, Advance Intersectional Equity for Disabled Employees. This course encourages you to look at your current workplace culture. It highlights ways you can make changes so that no employee feels less important than others.

By the end of the course, you will have the skills and resources you need to make your workplace truly welcoming for everyone.

What Is Intersectionality

Intersectionality is a term coined by legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw. It describes how different aspects of a person’s identity combine to create unique experiences of both privilege and discrimination. These identities can include race, gender, class, disability and many more.

People with disabilities may face more barriers if they also belong to other marginalized groups.

Why Intersectionality Matters at Work

All sorts of people make up our workplaces. Who we are shapes our lived experience, including how much power or privilege we may have at work. When employees face discrimination, whether intentional or not, it makes work life more challenging.

Becoming an Inclusive Workplace Leader

Employers have a duty to support staff who experience barriers. When employees feel excluded, they may contribute less, not feel part of the team or leave the organization.

Inclusive workplaces allow everyone to thrive. We should want our employees to be authentic, speak up, and handle conflict without fear of other employees discriminating against them.

What You’ll Learn in the Course

Discover how to make all your employees feel valued, included, and supported. An inclusive workplace will have higher morale, stronger teamwork, and greater loyalty. Our course offers practical solutions for building a supportive workplace.
