Awl Together Leather is East Vancouver’s custom leatherwork and shoe repair studio. We service all kinds of items – shoes, bags, jackets, etc – for repair, alteration, redye or custom creation!

Why We Are Involved

Tess and Ariss started Awl Together Leather to disrupt our male-dominated industry and welcome a new wave of diverse leatherworkers into a field that specializes in decreasing textile waste.

Our goal is to make shoe repair and leatherwork more accessible to clients and to provide a safe(r) work environment for underrepresented cobblers who have been excluded in the past.

We are Canada’s first queer-owned shoe repair shop and currently Western Canada’s only female-owned shop.
