About the Opportunity
For each upcoming course, we’re building a working group to help us confirm key messaging and content.
The course topics are:
- Supporting employees with disabilities AND other marginalized identities in the workplace (intersectionality).
- Supporting employees with disabilities in health services workplaces (health care).
- Supporting employees with disabilities in the hospitality and travel industries (tourism).
Why You?
We need your help to determine the needs of each industry, and how best to support employees and staff with disabilities in each sector.
Working group members will be asked to share your personal and/or professional insights, stories, and other forms of expertise.
We are particularly looking for people with disability, people with experience (past or present), and DEI leaders in the above industries.
What Will You Do?
- Inform decisions on key messages, learning objectives, and effective content for the course.
- Suggest sources of information for our research review.
- Help us summarize and synthesize information found through research.
- Contribute scenarios (real or invented) that we can use to illustrate key points in the course.
The Ask
Commit 10 hours of your time via:
- Three 90 minute virtual sessions (June and July).
- Provide individual asynchronous input and feedback via electronic documents, polls, or other activities.
What’s In It For You?
- Share your expertise and experience to help employers in the [sector] better support employees with disabilities.
- Honorarium of $1,000 CAD paid in two parts (you may opt-out).
- We’ll also acknowledge your contributions in the course experience or references (including the organization you represent, if relevant).
