Advance Intersectional Equity for Disabled Employees

This course will give you concrete strategies to support disabled employees with other intersecting, marginalized identities in your workplace.

You'll explore and have a chance to apply the following objectives throughout the course:

  1. Recognize the urgency of advancing equity, especially for people with disabilities who already experience significant workplace barriers.
  2. Reflect on your own relationship to power and privilege.
  3. Explain how an intersectional approach benefits both individual employees and your organization as a whole.
  4. Identify workplace behaviours and practices to avoid, in favour of intersectional approaches to foster instead.
  5. Select the intersectional-aware strategies most appropriate for your workplace.
  6. Practice applying the intersectional leadership framework to a project or initiative.
