Accessible Employers’ New Brand: A Bridge to a Barrier-Free Future

Accessible Employers (AE)operated by Open Door Group, has entered a new chapter with a full rebrand that reflects its confident, approachable, and modern approach to advancing inclusive employment. The refreshed brandfeaturing a new logo, updated colours, and accessible typographyis designed to make AE’s services and resources not just visually appealing, but effortless for employers and communities to engage with.

A Logo That Reflects Connection

The centerpiece of the rebrand is a new logo built around AE’s core purpose: bridging employers with the resources, tools, training, best practices, and community insights needed to build more inclusive workplaces.

The icon combines the letter “A” with a cropped “e” to form a bridgesymbolizing AE’s role in linking people, ideas, and solutions together, from connecting employers with untapped talent to aligning workplace needs with accessibility practices.

The curved “e” also represents a half circle, a subtle tie to Open Door Group’s own logo and reinforcing the shared ecosystem of services that support inclusive employment across the province.

A More Accessible Experience

To lead change in accessibility, AE also ensures that its own communication practices follow the same standards it encourages in workplaces.

By adopting a brighter, more modern colour palette and a straightforward typography system, AE is modelling inclusive communication. These updates make AE’s guides, tools, and digital content easier to use and help them meet essential accessibility best practices.

I’m incredibly excited to unveil the refreshed Accessible Employers, operated by Open Door Group, brand. This is a bold new logo and colour palette that reflects who we are today and where we are going,”

says Yat Li, Associate Director, Inclusive Employment Services at Open Door Group.

Li emphasizes that this shift builds on a decade of progress:

“Over the past decade, we’ve built a strong foundation rooted in our Community of Accessible Employers, collaboration, and evidence-based change. This rebrand honours that history while setting us up for the next chapter. It signals our commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and measurable impact, ensuring that employers in BC and beyond have the tools they need to build workplaces where everyone can thrive.”

The visual identity, designed by iilo Creative Alliance, was developed with accessibility in mind. High-contrast colours, simple shapes, and clean type are not just design choices; they reflect AE’s mission to remove barriers. By ensuring that materials are easy to read and navigate, the brand itself becomes a tool for inclusion.
