Rivercity Inclusion

Who We Are

Rivercity Inclusion is a non-profit society whose purpose is to advocate for services and/or provide services for people with special needs, and their families, who live in the Campbell River area.

The society’s role is to support individuals in attaining their greatest level of independence and to ensure that their basic human rights are respected.

We offer programs of all levels to help meet the needs of the area.

Why We Are Involved

Our organization supports people with developmental disabilities and we are also an inclusive employer.

Our employment program supports job seekers with disabilities to find and keep jobs. We hope to be able to provide our inclusive employers with some general strategies as well as those employers who are interested in hiring inclusively.

Our cornerstones and mission statement align with the inclusive employment movement and we want to ensure we are adhering to best practices and have many tools for our own organization as well as our local community employers.

Accessibility Initiatives

We have a staff member who has joined our local Strathcona Accessibility and Inclusion Advisory Committee

We have an Accessibility Committee that meets every few months.
