Who We Are

Chilliwack Community Services (CCS) is a non-profit, accredited multi-service agency providing support-focused programming to people of all ages. For over 90 years, we have been dedicated to meeting social and community needs in Chilliwack and the surrounding areas.

What began in 1928 with the efforts of a single woman helping a neighbour in need has continually grown to meet the increasing and changing demographics of the community.

Why We Are Involved

Chilliwack Community Services’ (CCS) strives to create an environment for our staff, clients and community that utilizes best practices, ensuring CARF accessibility and cultural diversity standards are met.

Our agency has an EDI plan that focuses on identifying barriers in the area of Architecture, Environment, Attitude, Finance, Employment, Communication, Transportation, and Community Integration as they apply to CCS programs and recommending change to policy and practice.

Accessibility Initiatives

We have an EDI plan, that aligns with our agencies strategic plan as well as implementing recommendations that came from an Accessibility consultant who completed an accessibility audit on CCS in 2022.

The EDI plan has comprehensive goals, outcomes, and roles/responsibilities to ensure it’s compliance and accountability.
