Who We Are
KunStudios is the business name of Krisztina Kun, a web developer and strategist with a background in social justice organizing.
I build accessible and user-focused WordPress websites, demystify technical jargon, and regularly collaborate with other experts to provide an agency experience.
Why We Are Involved
I’ve had a keen sense of justice and fairness since I was a child, and have always had the urge to make things better.
My family came to Canada as refugees when I was four. I learned English in school and moved around often. Because of this, I never really felt like I belonged, and I would often look around the room and check for others who were also left out. This has instilled me with a life-long drive for equality and inclusion.
Accessibility Initiatives
KunStudios collaborated with iilo Creative Alliance to build this Accessible Employers website in 2021.
We’ve incorporated everything we learned in making this website accessible and now offer that as a baseline for all sites going forward. This includes:
- building sites with a baseline of WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- partnering with designers who prioritize accessibility
- educating clients and partners on accessible design and development practices
- giving all clients an accessible content guide to get them onboard early in the process and help them understand their roles in shaping website accessibility
- continually learning and adapting best practices
