Leadership Profile

WHO WE ARE

The BC Tech Association is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to make BC the best place to grow a tech company. By creating a collaborative and supportive tech community we hope to make British Columbia a top 10 tech eco-system worldwide. We deliver programs, share best practices, and mobilize the tech community to be leaders in all aspects of their business.

WHY WE’RE INVOLVED

We believe diversity, including employing and making the workplace accessible for those with disabilities, is an important aspect of ensuring that technology is a sector of choice to work in, while filling the massive skills shortage predicted in the coming decade. We want to set the bar for all companies in the technology sector.

We know that the technology sector is one of the fastest growing industries in the province and is predicted to be the leading economic engine for the province. This sector, which currently employs over 150,000 British Columbians, is expected to grow to nearly 200,000 by 2021 and we want to see that include people with disabilities.
