About the Presidents Group
Formed in 2013, the Presidents Group is a network of 25 change-driven BC business leaders who are champions for more accessible, inclusive workplaces.
Leaders of businesses of all different sizes and sectors, and business models, are represented and nearly 60,000 British Columbians are employed at the Presidents Group’s 25 member organizations.
The Group also plays an advisory role to BC’s Minister of Social Development and Poverty Reduction and meets quarterly to share best practices.
Since 2017, the Presidents Group has been supported by two staff positions, who work with the members in their journey towards best practice, offer training for the broader business community, and help share the successes and challenges of accessible employment.
In 2018, The Presidents Group launched the Community of Accessible Employers, which gives employers beyond the 25 appointed members the chance to join the movement to accessible employment.
